Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received here today the Pastor of Bahrain’s National Evangelical Church, Rev. Hani Aziz.
They discussed the "Celebration for Peace" event, which was first launched in 2015.
BACA president said that Bahrain is the land of peace, love and co-existence, noting that holding the "Celebration for Peace" event reflects the true nature of the people of Bahrain.
In this regard, she highlighted the project to inscribe Old Manama on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, noting that the city has been a symbol of co-existence and religious tolerance throughout history.
Rev. Hani Aziz expressed thanks and appreciation to Shaikha Mai for accepting the initiative to hold the event on April 4, in conjunction with the Bahrain International Book Fair in Arad Fort, in cooperation with the Al-Bayareq Society.
He stressed the importance of holding such a key event at one of the historical sites of the Muharraq city, the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.
