Cairo, Dec. 4 (BNA): Egyptian President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi has today received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin, said the Middle East Agency. The two leaders discussed the current developments unfolding in the Middle East and concerted efforts to restore stability in the Middle East and reach political solutions, particularly the Syrian and Libyan issues, based on the UN resolutions.
President Putin commended Cairo-led efforts to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation, expressing support to Egypt’s government and people in combating terrorism. President el-Sisi reiterated his country’s firm resolve to combat terrorism and extremism, stressing the determination of the armed forces, police and security agencies. The two sides reviewed bilateral relations, stressing the importance of developing cooperation in all fields, particularly military, trade and transportation fields.
