The ASRY Awards for the Best Customers and Agents of 2014 was the sixth version of the annual ceremony that is designed to encourage long-term relationships with ASRY and reward the loyalty of returning customers. As such, the venues for each award ceremony are in some of the most prestigious locations in the globe.
This year the renowned Chateau De La Messardiere in Saint Tropez provided an elaborate and opulent scene for the formal dinner and ceremony, with previous venues including Hotel Cipriani in Venice and Hotel De Paris in Monaco. Speeches by ASRY’s Chairman and Acting Chief Executive, revealed the motivations and importance of the awards.
“The primary reason for this annual event is to show our gratitude to all our stakeholders for the commitment and dedication you have shown ASRY over the previous year that has allowed us to go from strength to strength,” Shaikh Daij Bin Salman Al Khalifa, ASRY Chairman, in his speech, said.
“Tonight is about you – our customers. ASRY is a large corporation, that employs thousands of people, and is a pillar of the Bahrain community and economy, but at the heart of its mission are the interests of all of you sat here with us tonight and your colleagues across the world. Satisfying you, the ship owners and operators, is our most important objective,” Nils Kristian Berge, ASRY Chief Executive, underlined ASRY’s focus on customer satisfaction in his address at the event, said.
The guests included the senior management of some of the global and regional shipping industries leading corporate names, such as Maersk Line, Odfjell, UASC and more.
