Manama, June 13 (BNA): Work on the Hajiyat residential project is on good track, said Housing Minister Basem bin Yacoub Al-Hamer.
“The main construction and infrastructure work has already reached 98% and 59% respectively”, he said in a statement today.
The project which includes 126 AZ flats in four apartment buildings represents an extension of other housing units in the neighbouring area in Hijiyat.
The Hijiyat projects is a core part of the programme to construct 25,000 units featuring of the Government Action Plan (GAP), which stems from the royal order to build 40,000 units.
Al-Hamer stressed the ministry’s resolve to spare no effort to fast-track all housing projects, which are under construction countrywide, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier to distribute 5,000 units.
