Aden, Apr. 15 (BNA): Yemen's legitimate and internationally recognized government has held Iran accountable for the latest barrage of missile attacks aimed at civilian targets, inside the territories of Saudi Arabia.
Following a meeting in the provisional Yemeni capital, the government, according to the Yemeni official news agency, said that those missiles and drones used to target the Kingdom were made in Iran, as the Yemeni Army has never had such weapons and that, even the decision to escalate against the Kingdom was taken by Iran to intensify the firing of ballistic missile and drones, the government added.
The Iranian decision to escalate against the kingdom was obviously taken to fight back Iran's isolation and to mitigate pressures on the regime as it became a regionally as well as international pariah state, the government asserted, drawing attention that it is impossible by all means for the Houthi to locally manufacture such weapons.
Such sophisticated weapons were trafficked from Iran to the Houthi militias, the government concluded, in flagrant violation of the international embargo and outright defiance of the international community.
