Manama, July 23 (BNA): Shura Council has expressed deep concern over the repeated and blatant Iranian intervention in Bahrain's internal affairs, which is inconsistent with the principles of good neighbourliness, respect for international laws, norms and conventions, the UN Charter and the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
Shura Council has condemned the statements launched by Iranian officials which represent a clear interference in Bahrain's internal affairs and incompatible with international relations and good neighbourliness.
Shura Council said such interventions are aimed at disseminating division and sectarianism and are blatant encroachment on Bahrain's sovereignty, as well as on international laws. Calling on Iran to halt interfering in states' internal affairs and using the language of incitement to spread tension and undermining the region's stability.
It called for standing by Bahrain's leadership and promoting national unity.
