Manama, May 13 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, has stressed the depth of the deep-rooted Bahraini-Chinese relations, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President Xi Jinping of China.
While receiving the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain, An Wa'er, Al-Mulla asserted that the developments and challenges currently witnessed by the world require more cooperation and coordination, especially by the Asian Parliament, stressing the need to coordinate stances to achieve security, stability and comprehensive economic development.
The Chinese envoy affirmed that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain has achieved political stability, economic growth and social harmony, noting that bilateral relations have grown steadily, especially after HM King Hamad’s visit to China in September, 2013.
He affirmed that the diplomatic and political action between the two friendly countries is progressing steadily, which, he said, has contributed to enhancing economic, trade and cultural cooperation.
He stressed that deepening the Bahraini-Chinese relations will consolidate the strategic cooperation between China and the Gulf Cooperation Council, on the one hand, and contribute to maintaining long-term peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
