Minister visits Bouri Club

Manama, July 15 (BNA): Following His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s directives, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowdar paid a visit to the Bouri Cultural and Sport Club.

MP Sheikh Majid Al-Majid, former Northern Municipal Council chairman, Yussef Al-Bouri, the club’s board chairman, Mohammed Hussain Yussef, and members were present.

The minister was informed about the club’s summer programmes and activities, including the football academy comprising 160 youngsters from the region.

He was also informed about the club’s needs, including mainly the completion of the two-hall sport and cultural building.

The minister discussed with those present proposals to expedite the completion of the building and outfit it in cooperation with the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry.

He also toured the building, identified its needs and met youngsters, trainers and the administrative staff.

Al-Jowdar affirmed his keenness on implementing HRH the Prime Minister’s directives to identify the needs of the regions and meet them to embrace youth and ensure they practise various activities.

He pointed out the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry will spare no effort in order to meet the club’s needs so as to enable it to assume its role in embracing youth.

MP Majid Al-Majid lauded the role played by the minister, and his keenness on following up closely and personally the challenges facing the Board of Directors of the club, noting that the field visit will reflect positively on the club and its activities and programmes.

Bouri Club Chairman praised the minister’s interest in supporting clubs, as well as his keenness on visiting the club personally, affirming the full cooperation of the club’s officials with the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry in order to complete the building.
