Palestinian President receives Youth Minister

Ramallah, Feb. 8 (BNA): Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has received the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to OIC's Al Quds the Capital of Youth, headed by Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder.

President Abbas welcomed the delegation, praising the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the State of Palestine and its fair cause to reach a comprehensive and permanent peaceful solution which preserves the Palestinian people’s inalienable right, affirming the deep-rooted bilateral ties between the two brotherly peoples.

The Palestinian President stressed that Al Quds is the Capital of Palestine State and the Capital of Muslim and Christian youth as well as the capital of all proponents of freedom and peace in the world.

The minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty's appreciation to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, praising at the same time the robust longstanding bilateral ties between the two countries in all fields, especially in the field of youth and sports.

On the sidelines of his participation in the Al Quds the Capital of Youth2018, the minister visited the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat’s tomb where he laid laurels as a sign of respect.

The minister also met Majid Al Futiani, Governor of Jericho and the Ravines, and discussed with him the bilateral cooperation in the fields of youth and sports.
