Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): A Quran contest for people with a minor mental disability will start tomorrow, Monday, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments is organizing the competition in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA).
The Directorate of Quran Affairs is holding the contest "Ajran" as part of the 23rd Bahrain Quran Grand Prize. A total of 75 contests will take part in the qualifications, which will be held at the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) Rehabilitation Centre.
Quran Affairs director Shaikh Abdulla Abdul-Aziz Al-Omari, Labour and Social Development Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Social Care and Rehabilitation Shaikha Aisha Al-Khalifa and other officials. The Bahrain Quran Grand Prize is in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the rehabilitation centres and the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
